Sacred

This poem describes a Dom/sub dynamic. It lays the foundations of the sanctity of this bond. BDSM is more than a mere physical connection. It is emotional, mental, psychological and spiritual. The unity of all of these elements comprises the core of a D/s relationship.
What follows is the text of the poem, written by myself in two parts, the first being rhyming lines while the second is free prose:

I dwell in your dreams
In the visions.. betwixt the seams
Conjoining our spirits
Your soul I redeem

I am the shade inside
Slithering within, then I collide
..with your heart, I claim and own
Surrender for there's nowhere to hide

The most joyous of a meal a predator can devour
is
The flesh of the prey, deliberately slain..
And when I hunt you down, with sweet disposition,
lay.. Lay your life upon my deeds

Sentiments matter not!
To perpetuate.. and contemplate
Is to love with thought
And to think with love

you.. and I
Are we not shattered lawn?
Like shreds of grass between the elbows of stone..
How does it grow? How does it see the light?
Just like us
Spontaneously proliferating
Serendipity.. I shall call it
And venerate it
The sacred oath of our ambiguity..
you and I
Like the constellations
Arbitrary, yet powerful
Imaginary.. But ever so real!

To kneel
To serve
To cherish and to guard
To bring the world on the brink of collapse
To make it all fade away
Until you hear your heartbeats
Thundering your ears
Until the snow on your soul thaws
And the rivers flow again
With torrents of craving lust
And the birds of your mind
Soar high, liberated..
Unleash my beast
To tame your wolves
And slay your demons
Pledge your soul to me!
Sacrifice your most valued
Your pride.. In the palms of my hand
So as to bask in my glory
And to breathe my might
Through me you shall be guided
And to utter
With fervent tears
And ardent words
Fervid shrieks
On your somber nights
Reach out to me
As a pious prayer
And a zealous plea
"Hallowed be Thy Name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done"

Amen to that!
